Jameis has had a rough past. As a freshman at FSU, he was detracted over half the year due to pending charges for rape on another FSU female. While going through all of that he still found a way to win the Heisman trophy and the BCS National Championship. This football season Jameis has had a great performance in all of his games that he has played in. Jameis has missed one game because he screamed some inappropriate things at a lunch table on campus and he was projected to be suspendedfor 2 quarters of the following game but the coach kept him from playing the whole game.NCAA urges players to refrain form signing anything but the cannot control everything. As a consequence, Todd Gurley is suspended for the rest of the 2014-2015 football season, yet Jameis gets no punishment. Jameis has been in a lot of trouble at his current school and hasn't shown any signs of him changing. What consequence do you think jameis should get if he even gets one?
Wow that is very interesting. Do you know how long that Todd Gurley will actually be suspended or is that just what they’re saying for now and that it can change? And for Jamie Winston what other kind of trouble has he gotten in like fights, bad grades, or trouble on the field like not coming to practice. Do you think that UGA will still have a chance at a successful season without Todd Gurley?
ReplyDeleteI think Jameis Winston should finally be punished for this incident. Even if he didn't get money, he has had too many off field problems that have just slide by and is time to start now. I would have to disagree with you on Georgia ' s hopes. Georgia has three more backs that can provide for the team. Now it's up to Georgia to try contribute.
ReplyDeleteAs a fan of college football I know how much these two players mean to their teams. The sports side of me says let them play, but the other side says what they did was wrong. Josh on your next blog make sure that you actually add your opinion because if we wanted just to know facts then we would have looked at the article. Now that that's said I have a few questions. Do you agree with these punishments? Do you think that the NCAA should do more to make sure their players are conducting themselves in a professional manner? If so what would be a suggestion. Keep up the great work.
